bannerSMRT Eduplay on Courtesy and Safety

This 25-minute play is most suitable for lower secondary students and is paramount in educating and creating students’ awareness on various modes of public transport safety and courtesy. It is highly entertaining and educational as important messages and tips on safety and courtesy are cleverly incorporated into the performance. Students will also be given a chance to win prizes through an interactive 5-minute quiz at the end of the play.

Synopsis
With an evil character on the loose, safety on public transport is jeopardized! Captain SMRT, the resident hero, is going all out to stop this villain from his evil acts. The play begins on a typical day where two friends, Lawrence and Joanne, decide to meet up. Each of them takes a different mode of public transport to their destination and they are clearly not sensible enough to be aware of the necessary safety and courtesy procedures on board any public transport. Unaware of their mistakes, they meet up and proceed with their plans. The story takes a turn when the two friends decide to take the MRT to go to another destination. At the very same time, the villain attempts to crash the next train arriving at the MRT station. Will he succeed? Will Lawrence and Joanne be in danger? Or can Captain SMRT stop the villain before it is too late?
