Home & Station explores the oppression of the everyman and the destruction of the arts in the name of modernization and technological advancement. In a world where everything is constantly under scrutiny, where trivial conversation turns rapidly into relentless interrogation, where the social agenda is pursued with ruthless efficiency, a citizen’s public and private lives hold tenuous. Home & Station was written and conceived by Jocelyn Chua Lay Hong during the 24 Hour Playwriting Competition organized by Theatreworks and held at the Singapore Turf Club from 5-6 July 2003.
